On Repeat…

For the last couple days, I’ve been feeling really crappy.  So crappy, in fact, that I’ve been forced to stay at home and do nothing all day.  It’s safe to say that I’m all caught up on every season of Real Housewives of New York (what an accomplishment) and have read the entire contents of my Google Reader (I had 1000+ unread posts last week).  When I wasn’t napping or watching hours of TV, here are the things that have kept me occupied and/or I’ve obsessed over during my sick days:

  1. I baked 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies (Nestle Toll House recipe) and I’ve been eating them nonstop for the past 4 days.
  2. Since my birthday was 3 months ago, I thought that NOW was a good time to send out some “thank you” cards (I’m such a slacker/horrible person).  I’ve been searching high and low for some unique “thank you’s” and I’m particularly fond of these Rifle Paper Co. cards.  They’re so colorful and cheery!
  3. Since my current pair of eyeglasses are almost out of commission, I’ve been searching for a new pair that’s equally functional and hip, like these Warby Parker Sinclair Eyeglasses.
  4. It’s been a daily struggle trying to figure out which colors of the Anthropologie Latte Bowls I want to get for my new kitchen.  I feel like the colors I choose will determine my entire color scheme.  Such decisions…
  5. I’ve been obsessing over the chevron pattern for months now and this Jonathan Adler Zig Zag Throw is perfection.
  6. Now that it’s springtime, my online shopping focus has shifted toward fun, colorful day dresses, like this Need Supply Co. Striped Dress.
  7. One of my favorite things to do is scroll through Pinterest and find unique jewelry, like this Anica Bangle Set.
  8. I’ve got baby showers on my mind!  One of my very good friends is preggers right now and I can’t stop thinking about all the fun things I want to get for her shower, like these Shop Sweet Lulu Stripey Straws for instance.

Etsy Love x4

In this edition of my Etsy favorites, I’m showcasing a little vintage, a little art, a little craft, and a little homemade jewelry.  Pretty much sums up Etsy in a nutshell, eh?  All of my favorite things!  On an unrelated note, I can’t help but get the giggles every time I look at Regretsy.  But on to my favorites of the week:

  1. Lackluster Co.: This vintage shop is full of unique houseware items, all of which are super industrial and very streamlined.  I love the variety of letters and numbers they have, especially the metal art deco ones.
  2. Matte Stephens: Though I’m a huge fan of all the Matte Stephens prints, the one of New York City is my absolute favorite.  There’s something very whimsical and youthful about this print that I find so enchanting.  In fact, I’m ordering one right now!
  3. Briones + Co.: This Etsy shop specializes in homemade notecards, menu planners, and even garland (my fave!).  So crafty and cute.
  4. Elephantine:  I’m quite fond of dainty, gold jewelry and Elephantine’s is particularly adorable.  I especially love all the shapes she incorporates in her designs.

Spring Cravings

march wish list

With springtime fast approaching, I feel myself starting to crave color and wild patterns (and canning cookbooks?).  Long, flowy skirts, perfectly polished olive green nails, geometric bangles – all of these items reflect the changing seasons and I’m LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

As you can see, I’m lusting after lots of tans, various shades of green and blue, yellow, gold, and hints of pink.  And who doesn’t love a chevron print in the form of a bathroom accessory?  Sign me up for that, please.  Instead of spring cleaning, I want to do the exact opposite and accumulate MORE things, namely these 10 items on my March wish list:

  1. Zara Long Skirt
  2. Madewell Brightside Bangle
  3. Canning For A New Generation cookbook
  4. Urban Outfitters Little Birch Jewelry Stand
  5. West Elm Graphic Porcelain Tumblers
  6. Clarks Botanicals Ultra Rich Lip Tint
  7. Scotch Naturals Nail Polish in Ceasefire
  8. Rennes Le Chateau Wallet Pouch
  9. Twoems Patterned Peacock Print (sold out…brb crying)
  10. MTWTFSS Weekday Endless Knit Sweater Beige

On Repeat

In the month of January, I was living in, living on, and obsessing constantly over the following:

  1. I wore this gold Dogeared necklace nearly every single day.  I never tire of a tiny charm.
  2. I love a good red nail and this Essie polish in limited addiction kept my hands company quite often in the last month.
  3. I (virtually) flipped through Rue Magazine’s Issue 3 at least a dozen times, if not more.  It’s packed full of inspiring visuals and amazing decor ideas.
  4. I placed this J.Crew silk blouse in my online shopping cart more times than I can count.  I can’t decide if I need it (read: I OBVIOUSLY NEED IT) so I will continue putting it in my cart until I make the decision.
  5. I drank green tea 2-3 times a day, though I wish it were in a cute Anthropologie mug.
  6. I listened to the new Cold War Kids album literally on repeat.  One of my favorite songs is Mine is Yours.
  7. This Clinique Almost Lipstick was my go-to color of choice for whenever I ventured out of the house.

A Couple Things

  1. I’m back.  This past weekend was such an amazing and surreal adventure.  I don’t think I’m allowed to publish anything about it though.  I will give you a hint:  it had to do with a certain awards show that took place on Sunday…perhaps?
  2. Look at my brand new sidebar buttons to the right!  Aren’t they precious?  I just want to squeeze their little cheeks.  Since your eyes are now looking in that general direction, do me a solid and click on those links to make sure they are working properly (read: let’s be friendsies).
  3. In my next post, I’m going to discuss my 11 goals for 2011.  Clearly, since it’s almost February, ditching my procrastination habit is not one of my goals for the new year.  My resolutions are a little late to the party.
