When winter rolls around, you can usually find me parked right here on this couch with a couple dozen skeins of yarn and a few sets of needles in various sizes. There’s something about knitting that I find to be so calming and life-affirming, ya know? Creating an actual usable item out of a ball of yarn? Talk about a serious addiction.
I want to show you guys a few things I’ve been knitting recently. Is that cool? First up: beanies. It took me a really long time to find an easy and quick way to make a beanie, but I think I’ve finally figured it out. I’m a beanie machine now and can bust one out in under an hour. Addicting, I tell you!!
Make me one!
if we move to ca, i want a beanie! these pics of you are so gorg. love your lipstick!
so cute!
I see you’re not using circular needles – would you mind sharing where you found the pattern? I’ve been knitting for a while and haven’t found a nice quick way to knit a beanie yet.
your blog is one of my favorites 🙂
Thanks so much Kerry! In the photo, I’m actually knitting a blanket, not a beanie. Sorry that was deceiving ha! BUT, I do not use circular needles even to knit beanies. Although using circular needles is the easiest way to knit a beanie, I just use regular needles. Also, I did not use a pattern. It’s just something I made up totally randomly!!
An inspiration you are! Your place looks adorable from what I can see. And you are too cute!
Janelle! I LOVE these photos! You look amazing. xoxo
You should sell the beanies. I would order, I love the red.
So darling , great pictures
I love these pics of you! I miss when we knit together and hearing your needles click click!
You look gorgeous. I love your blog photos and the edits on them. Do you use actions for post processing? Was wondering which ones if so. 🙂
Thanks so much Sonia! These particular photos don’t have actions on them actually. Just some light photoshop editing. I do use actions a lot for other photos though and really love the Simon Filip ones. Thanks for reading!
That beanie looks amazeballs. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect beanie, especially since it’s 19F right now in NYC!
How cute are you! Loving that beanie, you must teach me!!!

These look great, and simple too! What brand of yarn are you using? That red color is just perfect.
