I realize that my blog has become a series of what-does-Janelle-do-on-the-weekends and hey-i-have-an-iphone-instagram-app. FOR THAT I APOLOGIZE! I will start mixing it up I promise!
But on Saturday, I went to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens for some afternoon tea and a lovely day with my mom, cousin Kelsie, and Aunt Margaret. We were celebrating Kelsie’s graduation from college by being really prim, proper, and sophisticated. Our other cousin even facebooked us, saying “When in doubt, pinky out.” We so fancy!
I knew from the beginning that the afternoon tea would be amazingly good because they put a basket of hot, fresh from the oven scones on the table as we sat down. BRB, dying. Then there were mini sandwiches, mini fruits tarts, mini cookies, mini sugar cubes, mini bowls, mini everything. Loved it all!
After the tea, we walked around a bit. The grounds of the Huntington are so unbelievably gorgeous and expansive. One moment you’re in a rose garden and the next you’re surrounded on all sides by thick, tall trees. It was all very beautiful but I must admit that we spent the majority of the time taking photos of ourselves. Super fun day!!
