Before we embark on vacations, whether they’re weekend getaways or week-long trips, I always like to study the food culture and find local favorite restaurants. Blogs are my go-to source. Of course! Blogs are my go-to source for everything. In fact, I found the majority of the Seattle restaurants/cafes we went to here.
But the great thing about Seattle is that the people are really nice. We would go to some amazing clothing stores or fun pop-up shops and all of the workers were giving us tips on their local favorites. I walked around Seattle with multiple lists in my purse of neat places to try.
So here’s where we ate in Seattle:
- Macrina Bakery
- Purple Cafe & Wine Bar
- Ballard Pizza Co. (for all you design lovers, their branding is some kind of wonderful)
- Homegrown
- Red Mill Burgers
- Molly Moon’s Ice Cream
- Taylor Shellfish Farms
- Local 360
- Dahlia Bakery (and across the street from Escala if you wanted to do some Christian Grey stalking)
Other notables:
- Oddfellows
- Paseo (closed on Sunday and Monday, ughs)
- Crumble & Flake (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
- Bauhaus Books & Coffee
- Walrus & the Carpenter
- Sitka & Spruce
- Staple & Fancy (or any of Ethan Stowell’s other restaurants)
- Delancey (we tried to go here but there was a 90 minute wait!)
