Friday Love List

I’m head over heels (no pun intended) in love with these new sweet little babies. Aren’t they just precious? I picked them up at Madewell over Labor Day weekend during their 30% off all boots sale and I swear, I will never take them off. So that’s number 1 on my love list this week, these Madewell boots. Here’s what else I’m loving:

About a month ago, I made the switch from Bare Escentuals face makeup to Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer. This week, I finally realized that it was the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s so wonderful.
Kyle and I leave for our Portland vacation at the end of next week. My Hunters, my new sweet little babes, and I couldn’t be more excited.
I don’t know about you but I watch a LOT of TV. I probably watch almost every show. So the fact that fall TV shows are starting up again makes me one happy camper.
Geri Hirsch made this video on layering and it’s all kinds of AMAZING.
The fact that Kyle sends me things like this at work. Sigh.

Weekend Update

This weekend was all about celebrating that dude’s birthday. On Saturday, I made him a homemade bloody mary and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I think he was a happy camper. Later in the afternoon, we did this:

…hiked in Rustic Canyon. The trails are just above Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles and they are absolutely gorgeous. The canyon is filled with stone staircases that lead into a valley where an artist colony used to be. Now it’s all ruins and kind of awesome. PS – my legs hurt.

We started Sunday off at brunch with my family. Seeing as the restaurant was only one block from the beach, we couldn’t help but take advantage of that a little bit too(first photo). Such a beautiful day!! The rest of the afternoon, we did this:

Friday Love List

You guys, I finally broke down and bought a good camera. It was a pretty penny. And by pretty penny, I mean I have no money left. But it was worth it. We’re best friends now. Ain’t it real pretty?? So number uno on my love this week is (obvs):

My first born child, my new Canon 60D. Not going to lie, I wanted the 5D. Couldn’t afford that puppy so I decided on the 7D. Hmm, couldn’t afford that guy either. So now we’re at 60D and I’m happier than ever!!
My little old roommate (aka my boyfriend of 6 years, whoa…) is turning 25 years old this weekend! I have some surprises up my sleeve for him (and no, it’s not a puppy, don’t get your hopes up) so hopefully it’s a good one!
LOVING the new issue of STYLED mag. So good! I’m sort of addicted to online magazines, FYI.
I’ve been searching the fleas high and low for the perfect world globe. And sure, I see millions of them but not the perfect one (mini-sized and a bright aqua blue). But OF COURSE, the exact one I want shows up on Urban Outfitters. Would that be a totes cop-out if I buy it? Or should I continue searching the fleas…what say you?
